Revise a Declined Payment

Revise payment is an Abarcy feature which allows you to retry your payment method or use another one if your transaction failed in the previous attempt.

To revise payment on your order, follow the steps given below:

  1. Go to Your Orders
  2. Go to the order for which you wish to revise payment and click Revise Payment Method.
  3. Select the payment method of your choice and click Retry Payment.

The Revise Payment option could appear due to the following reasons:

  • Your payment failed and the transaction wasn't completed.
  • The bank declined your payment.
  • You accidentally closed or refreshed the page or pressed the backspace button while the transaction was being processed by your bank.
  • The connection between Abarcy and your bank failed due to technical reasons and the transaction couldn't be completed.
Note: You can revise your payment with your last payment method or choose a different payment method available for that particular order.

Unknown Charges

There are several reasons why you might not recognise a charge.

Important: Do not send your card number via email, as this is not a secure transmission method.

If you don't recognise a charge, consider the following common scenarios:

  • An order placed by a child, spouse, friend, relative, or co-worker with access to your card number.
  • Additional cards associated with the credit or debit account.
  • Previously placed orders for pre-order items.
  • Recently cancelled or changed orders. Some banks show authorisations as pending or processing charges.

If the charge is not explained by any of these situations, please contact us with the following information:

  • Last 4 digits of the card
  • Date of the charge
  • Amount of the charge
  • Your name, email address, and phone number.

Multiple Charges for the Same Order

Orders may be split into multiple deliveries or even multiple orders. However, the total amount charged should add up to the amount displayed when the order was placed.

Items from a single order may be sent as more than one delivery for several reasons. The most common are:

  • One or more of the items was sold and dispatched by a marketplace seller.
  • We dispatched the items from different fulfilment centres.
  • The items had different availabilities and you selected the option I want my items faster. Dispatch them as soon as they become available at checkout.
  • The items are being delivered to more than one address. Selecting different delivery addresses for the items in an order will result in each delivery address being assigned a different order number.

The order summary in Your Account will show the amount charged for each delivery, as well as the total charged per order.

If you see a duplicate charge for the same order on your statement, contact your Bank.

Payment Issues

Payments made on Abarcy could sometimes fail or remain in a pending stage.

Payments could fail due to the following reasons:

  • You accidentally entered incorrect credit/debit card details like name on the card, card number, CVV, and expiry date.
  • The card has insufficient funds for the payment to go through.
  • The card details you provided are no longer valid or need to be updated.
  • Your bank is going through an outage.
  • You accidentally closed/refreshed the page or pressed backspace while the transaction was being processed by your bank.
  • The connection between Abarcy and your Bank failed due to some technical issues and the transaction could not be completed.
  • Your card may be blocked for online transactions.

In any of the above cases, you will have the option to Revise Payment in Your Account. In any of these cases we'll send you an email to notify you of the payment failure.

Note: If your payment is still processing, you will see a "We haven't received payment confirmation from your bank or credit card yet". In such cases, do not attempt paying a second time unless you're sure that your payment failed.
